A Letter From Gloria: I would like to say a big "Thank you" to everyone for allowing me to be a part of your office staff as well as being a member of this wonderful, caring congregation. I marked my 9th Anniversary here at PGPC April 1, 2009. It has certainly flown by by quickly, and I am still in disbelief of how fast time is flying by. Just to give you an idea of what goes on in the office, I would like to share with you a quick synopsis of my duties:
Answer the phones, send out automated information on the telephone, acknowledge memorials/honorariums, prepare check payments for Treasurer approval and signature, make weekly cash deposits to the bank, post all receipts and disbursements, prepare individual statements for tax purposes, produce the bulletin for all Sunday and Special Church Services, edit and produce the monthly newsletter, maintain the church calendar, maintain accurate church rolls, maintain adequate office supplies, oversees proper operation of equipment, coordinates external service such as church cleaning and building maintenance, oversees all preschool functions, provides support to Session and special committees, coordinates and schedules use of the church, ensures correct church procedures (financial/other) are followed and implemented, keeping accurate filing/record system and oversees office computer use and files. Everyday is a different and having to adapt to day to day needs of the church is certainly a challenging and exciting job. I enjoy each day and appreciate the opportunity to be part of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church.
